The Cass House Inn

Last weekend I had the joy of visiting the Cass House Inn.
Hearing nothing but love for this wedding venue, I had to come see it for myself. I'm so glad I did.

Nestled across from the Cayucos Pier, this historic inn is the perfect spot for an lovely, intimate wedding.
Brides, this is your venue.

I met with Grace and Jensen Lorenzen, who oversee the inn. It was truly a peaceful and sweet experience. They carry such love and peace in their presence, making it the perfect place for what can be an overwhelming event. The Cass House Inn offers everything you need in one place: excellent cuisine with choice, local ingredients, indoor and outdoor reception areas, lodging in five rooms, and a beautiful spot to tie the knot. What else could you ask for?

After years of intense restoration, the Cass House maintains the charm of both antique and modern styles. Details, such as these shutters above, date back to their original time of building-- the 1800's. Read more about the beautiful history of the Cass House on their website

The Cass House Restaurant is open daily to the public with an impressive menu of seasonal, local items. I loved watching Jensen and the staff prepare for the night with intention and honor in their countenance. The kitchen is often called the heart of the home. The purity and value I observed even in my short time there definitely reflects throughout the inn.  Jensen told me about the Harvest Dinner that the Cass House hosts. One night a year, the public and farmers are invited to the dinner featuring an entirely local menu--even down to to the salt from Cayucos shores! The inn prioritizes fostering community with farmers in the area.

Preserving mint in its freshest season.

Many of the ingredients from the restaurant are found in the garden behind the inn.
I found chard, artichokes, and onions growing happily among the roses and sunshine just outside.

In addition to beautifully and uniquely furnished rooms, the inn has a charming outdoor garden as well.   It is sweetly tailored for your Day, from flower-lined hedges to an ivy-covered gazebo.  If you can't tell already that I fell in love let me make it clear now. I'm head over heels for this perfect little inn.
